Welcome
The open gathering of Nigeria Aviation operatives at NIGAV 2008 was an amazing opportunity for review, networking and sharing of information. With a mix crowd of technocrats, professionals, investors, suppliers and consultants, Nigeria Aviation Conference and Expo once again stirred up thoughts and development questions which NIGAV 2009 hopes to answer.
The Nigeria Aviation sector has continued to be at the centre of regional investment market following the country’s position as the natural business centre of West and Central Africa, and also an emerging air transit hub of the region.
The drive to actualize the 7-point agenda of the Federal Government for accelerating economic growth is impressing on the states to develop industrial and commercial parks, free trade zones, new airports and airport cities. It is therefore expected that the coming years will see higher interstate air traffic and the emergence of hub airports for airlines who aim to expand its fleets for regional services from Nigeria.
Th Nigeria Federal Ministry of Aviation is vigorously pushing for improvement and expansion in air transport infrastructure nation-wide and seeking integrated seamless interchange for transit and passenger comfort, as Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority is maintaining high level monitoring and regulation of the industry, thus creating a more conducive and sustainable investment platform.
NIGAV 2009 present yet another opportunity to set a common agenda for economic growth, binding the aviation industries with other sectors of the economy, thus opening widows for further direct foreign investment and expanding industry activities.
We welcome both Nigerians and international participation as sponsors, exhibitors, conference delegates and speakers.
Yours Sincerely
Mr. Fortune Idu
